Sandy

My headmistress banned us from playing Please Please Me in lunchtime disco sessions which we were occasionally allowed to run. Thinking of that now makes me laugh. To us, brought up on a diet of Lonnie Donegan and Bill Hayley The Beatles were something of a revelation. I still think back to my form teacher's horror when she found someone had scribed on a desk 'Beatles' not that the said offender had scourged the desk but the fact they had spelt Beatles wrongly!!!!!!
