I agree almost totally with you, mate (although Robin Aitken's book is not quite 'brilliant'), and I wish I had the time to write so much for so few to read!

Ha ha. Well, I DON'T have the time, but...as for 'so few', I average around 40-50 hits per posting - around 4,000 in total so far - which for a 'private' Blog post I don't think is too bad. OK, it's not Guido Fawkes or Iain Dale type stat's, but..
The other advantage is that when this subject (argument) comes up, I can say: "well, if you want to know why I think this just look at this Blog I did sometime..." - rather than going over all the old ground, which even I get bored with!..."now, what are you having?"
OK, maybe I was a bit OTT re Aitken but I haven't seen anyone else from the point of view of an insider make the point so authoritatively. The Beeb's a lot more balanced now, I think.
